1973 Honda CB500 Four Motorcycle Bike Unrestored Original 3 year only production

You are bidding on  one  1973 Honda CB500 Four Motorcycle.  This is a very nice original. unrestored Bike.  I purchased the bike from the original owner about 3 years ago then sold it to a good friend. then bought it back from him last year. so I am the second and fouth owner.  

VIN #CB5002117792. Odometer reading is 25. 88. This bike has been very well taken care of and always garaged.  The original Owners Manual. Tool Kit. a Shop Manual and a bag of misc. parts included.  

The CB500 Four was only made for 3-yrs. 1971. 1972. 1973.  

 The Motorcycle has straight exhaust pipes and sounds very good. The original seat is in very good condition. The ignition switch is removed from the frame and hidden under the seat with a toggle switch. the orignal ignition switch housing is included in the bag of parts. I have not road this bike since last fall. I tried to start it Saturday 10-25-2014 and the gasoline smells like it is soured and the bike tries to start but I did not get it running before I placed this ad. When I put it away for the winter last year it always ran and rode really good.    

The Bike always started right up and ran well if ran every week. but if it sat for awhile it was cold blooded. Also if it sat for awhile the clutch would stick and I would just take off and stab the rear brake and it would break loose and be fine. There is a repaired crack in the right side cover (see photo's). The stem to raise the center stand is broke off. The tank lettering is hand painted and up close does not look real well.

This is a great vintage Motorcycle and would be an easy restoration or have fun with it as is. The Bike will need to be trailered home since I have not been able to get it started yet. I think the spoiled gas is the problem since it was running and riding great when I put it up last fall. The Motorcycle is located in Paola Kansas.   Thank you for looking.
