Honda CB160 1965

Very nice 1965 Honda CB160. I bought this at an estate auction in original un-restored condition. Bike was completely original. nothing replaced or aftermarket.

I completely disassembled and cleaned and professionally painted with basecoat. clearcoat automotive paint. Black and Silver. The engine only has 17000 miles with good compression so it was decided not to disassemble. Engine was cleaned and painted with heat resistant paint. Seat recovered with high quality vinyl. Beside seat cover all original Honda parts. Chrome parts range from good to fair. Tank sides are good. no rust or pitting. rubber knee pads great condition. no rips. tears or separations.

Some Chrome has light pitting as seen in photos. Air cleaners are original metal components with new pleated air cleaner material installed. not cheap foam filters. Carbs cleaned and adjusted. new plugs and valves adjusted to . 002. Headlight works high and low beam. brake light works both tail and stop. Good rubber. front tire new. rear good condition now cracks.

Engine starts first kick. Electric starter does not work. Needs to be rebuilt or replaced.  Solenoid providing  12 volt to starter.

I have been riding this bike around for the last couple days. a real blast from the past!
