1982 Honda Magna -- Worthy of Cosmetic Restoration

 I deal in Vintage Honda Motorcycles. and try to sell only exceptional Bikes.   This bike is certainly one of them. I do not wash or clean my bikes in any way.   I do not want to deceive anybody.   If it has a leak. you get the photo of that leak.   No soap. no steel wool. nothing to deceive. If you are not familiar with this model of Honda. Wikipedia claims it was the "Worlds Fastest Bike" in 1982.   I believe them.   It claims the bike could do a 12 second quarter mile.   I don't have the nerve to try that. I did take it on the standard "around the island" ride which Id o all my bikes.    It passed with flying colors.   Smooth. loud. everything runs nicely -- more power than any bike really should have. Starts easily -- in spite of the missing choke cable.   You push on a little piece of linkage and hold it for 30 seconds and then it is ready to go.   That cable probably costs $20.   The owner's St. Bernard chewed off the rear turn signals.   Al four signals lamps will need to be replaced.   The electrical system for them is still fine. no blown fuse.   Overdrive works fine. Headlamp is fine.    Batter is fine etc.    Tires are worn.   One flexible rubber brake line is moist on the front left.   I took a picture of that. The oil is a clear as can be for any bike of any age.   It was changed every 2000 miles. The custom paint job was put on too thick and is breaking up.   Will need to be stripped and repainted. The good news is that this bike is 100% sound in the way it drives and performs.   NO shakes. vibrations or wobbles. I ran it up to 80 for a second and it is just fine.   fast enough for me in 40 degree weather. Feel free to call or request more photos or ask questions.
