This very rare and much sought after 1972 tax free Honda CB450K5 Super Sport bike has obviously been reframed using a 1971 CL450K4 chassis. It has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life ?ˆ“ the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to machinery than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 6152 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the chain guard. The bike has obviously stood a while so the battery is flat. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS. The bike is every bit as nice as it looks here. The wheels are straight with good brakes. Forks & yokes are straight with good chrome. Mudguards are both solid & tidy. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Instruments & switches look great. Fuel tank is dented is squeaky clean inside and has just minor marks & scratches in the original paint. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Exhausts are original & solid. Seat base is in very good condition throughout. Shox are damping fine. The engine is cosmetically very clean. it turns over nicely off the kick starter ?ˆ“ sounds/feels great & has compression ?ˆ“ When we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it fresh fuel it starts & runs ?ˆ¦. Indeed everything is in working order so we MOT'd & registered the bike.
