I'm selling my 1985 1st generation Interceptor. I have had the bike for a few years. I don't ride it much. just to old bike rallys and around town. Brings up conversation everywhere I bring it. Everybody remembers these bikes from the 80's. I bought it from a guy who had it in high school in Massachusetts a few years ago. covered in dust with the original tires on it. everything was there it was just left there like a time capsule. He had all the parts for getting it back on the road. brand new in boxes and still in the Honda packaging. Including. new fuel pump. all new brake lines. caliper seals. fork seals. air filter. miscellaneous hardware that had any patina or rust on it he bought new. I guess he wanted it as new again. But he never got around to it. years kept going by until I finally loaded it on my truck a couple years ago. I did a lot of the small stuff. The carbs got sent out to Billy Carr at Vfours carbs for the premium carb rebuild with all new hardware and updated with nitrile rubber seals and O-rings so it's compatible with the Ethanol fuels we have up here in NH 15%! 2 Brand new Michelin Pilots got put on this year. not because the tires were worn. they weren't even dry rotted. but the NH DMV safety wouldn't allow me to run the original tires. For years I ran them. I only rode it maybe 250 miles a year the years Ive had it. Why they decided this year who knows. It cost me $400 at the Honda dealer. The lower fairings I had made by Air Tech they have the original molds from that era. They were not cheap and not easy to come by. The ONLY a paint work is these fairings. Rest is all stock and original. (still has break-in and warning decals on gas tank!)They were professionally done using genuine Honda 3 stage paint. The Rothmans decals are just a tribute and are not cleared into any panels and could be brought back to stock in an hour. It sure gets a lot of attention wherever I bring it. with them on. gas stations to rally's everybody has fond memories of these bikes. It has Vance and Hines vintage slip ons but not the black chrome original pipes. I kinda wish it had them but these sound nice. not very different from stock. This bike needs nothing. I have spent so much time and money on this bike. I know I'm never going to get close to that. I'm just hoping someone notices it for what it is. and what it's going to be worth in the future. All the extras you see. RAM GPS. and cell phone mount. usb and volt meter. clock. tempty. tank bag. and a brand new Mid height touring windshield will come with it. When it goes. I don't want reminders of it lying around the garage LOL. it's like a band aid just rip it off. I'll miss it. but just don't have the room and I need new floors in the house. Anyway it Just passed NH state motorcycle safety inspection with flying colors. they check everything. very comprehensive inspection. Feel free to call me for any questions or to schedule a test drive @ 603-860-2242 Thanks and Ride safe!
