Description

1992 / 93 Mk1 HondaCBR 900 RR-N

First (in my opinion best looking) and most radical of the Tadao Baba designed 'Blades.

Motorcycle News says. "The motorcycle that changed how sports motorcycles were built. The Honda CBR900RR FireBlade wiped the floor with its competitor motorcycles not by being more powerful (it wasn?ˆ™t) but by being lighter. Rivals were all well over 200kg. the first Honda CBR900RR FireBlade was just 185kg which made it perform superbly. It?ˆ™s still a wild ride and a surprisingly practical motorcycle too. " and goes on to state "Proven technology made lightweight ?ˆ“ very much the Honda CBR900RR FireBlade?ˆ™s philosophy. It worked extremely well. The in-line four. 16 valve. liquid cooled engine in the Honda CBR900RR FireBlade grew from 893cc to 918cc by 1998 but it always set the motorcycle alight with plenty of power at any revs and a dab of character too.   Like any minimalist sports motorcycle there?ˆ™s few luxuries on the Honda CBR900RR Fireblade. But the Honda CBR900RR FireBlade has a couple of surprises up its sleeve. First it?ˆ™s not uncomfortable or cramped ?ˆ“ even pillion accommodation is good if a grab rail is added. Also there?ˆ™s an excellent ?ˆ?boot?ˆ™ luggage space under the rear seat. " . and they should know!

Taxed until and of Feb 2015 (only £80 for a year). MOT until September 2015. Used and abused. but never neglected. just ridden rather than worshipped. Not the tidiest example but it's the original model. looks great from a few yards away. Mileage to be taken with a pinch of salt. I've never clocked it but I don't think for a minute it was genuine when I bought it. The main thing is it runs well and is taxed & tested until next year. won't cost you a fortune to insure or run and will definitely put a great big smile on your face. I have owned this bike for about 10 years and would keep it for the rest of my (or its) life if I were not leaving the country and selling everything that won't go in a suitcase.

There is a little history with the bike and a few receipts. Also a spare. VERY fruity sounding exhaust you can have if you don't want to get on with the neighbours! It is on a Q plate but this has never bothered me and doesn't make it any slower. Price starts low and there is no reserve and no hidden extras. The final bid is the price you pay. Buyer must collect by Sunday 16th November and must pay beforehand or bring a wad of cash on the day.
