1978 Honda XL-250S

This vintage bike is in excellent condition. It has 2400 miles on it and I have a clean Wisconsin title. It is all original with the exception of the seat which was re-covered at some point before I bought it and the tank may have been repainted but it is the correct color. nbsp;Tahitian Red.

This is not a project bike.   It is ready to ride.   Starts in a couple of kicks.   Idles a bit high and need to keep the choke on about 1/2 to 3/4 most times at rest.   In gear its fine.   All this bike needs is a bit of a tune-up (it sat in one of my sheds for two years) and at some point a fresh battery.

The only defects are:

A slight dent in the right side of the gas tank (there before I bought it - see pictures)The seat cover has a slight tear that was gorilla taped (see pictures)The high-beam indicator lamp in the instrument cluster doesn't work.  The high-beams work. they just aren't indicated.

Brakes are fine. lights including turn signals work. as well as the horn.

Includes a box of miscellaneous spares including electrical parts. tool carrier. carburetor. front fender. and Clymer manual.

This is a very nice example of a vintage Honda and thus will appeal most to those who know. understand. and appreciate vintage bikes.
