Honda XR 250 L 1993

Welcome to the auction for my 1993 Honda XR 250L. This bike is not to be confused with the XR 250 R version. this is a more road friendly version with many differences such as proper glass headlight. Indicators. steering lock Ignition key. metal fuel tank. locking fuel cap. battery. different exhaust. nbsp;different gearbox and final drive gearing. passenger footrests. different camshaft and ignition timing. but still retains the ruggedness of the 250R. I purchased this bike as a USA import from Colorado where the weather must be much kinder as the bike was cosmetically very good. but the top end was very noisy as are a lot of these engines as they do need regular oil and filter changes to prevent wear. The bike was completely stripped and inspected. The engine top end was completely rebuilt with a 1 mm overbore. wiseco pistion kit. reconditioned head. new camshaft and followers (all genuine Honda parts with exception of piston kit). Other new parts include front mudguard. seat cover. tool bag front and rear inner tubes. Bridgestone trail wing tyres. new brake pads. mirrors. hand grips. battery. chain and sprockets. hand guards. fork gaitors. dual foam air filter and cage. ( I have a K&N to go with it as well)As previously mentioned bike was cosmetically very good (all original uncorroded fasteners) and now is in outstanding condition for a 21 year old dual sport bike as can be seen from the pictures. Bike shows 16. 00 miles on speedo (which is in MPH). but with engine rebuild. this is now set for many years to come with correct maintenance. Bike is fully serviced and ready to go and has only covered 73 road miles since rebuild. I have UK registered this bike and it was fairly straight forward to get an age related plate as I had the USA title. (registered on a K plate). the MOT runs out on the 29th May 2015. and the V5 is present. Only selling as I originally bought this for some green laning but cannot bring myself to take it off-road due to its condition. could also do with the space in the garage for other projects. (also struggling to find some green lanes in my area that you can actually legally use!)Would consider a swap for a trial bike of similar value.
