Excellent commuter. novice or winter/second bike. Low seat height so it is easy to put your seat on the ground completely flat. Easily restricted to 33bhp. I have had the bike for nearly 5 years. bought originally to pass my test on.
I am a mature rider and treat my bike with love and respect. Always garaged. The CB400 Super Four is very forgiving but can really shift when required. Quiet and docile at 3-4000 rpm. Fun at 10-12. 00 rpm. Mad dash or simple commuting the CB400 Super Four will reward you and give you years of motorcycling pleasure. A lot of fun but with 100% bullet - proof Honda engine.
These CB400's are still made in Japan and are LAMS (learner approved motorcycles) in Australia and the far east. Light weight and easily manauverable they are great town bikes. giving excellent acceleration. great mpg and 100% reliability.
Cheap to insure. tax and to run. Servicing is easy and parts are plentiful. Always serviced every year irrespective of mileage ridden. I have replaced the chain and sprockets . attery. regulator and consumerables such as tyres etc. I have also had the seat recovered. The bike has been recently serviced and has some service history. It has two keys. It has two new tyres and new brakes just before the MOT (end October 2014). The next MOT is 28th October 2015. The engine is simply super smooth. quiet with a light clutch. The engine oil is honey coloured. Simply perfect. Starts first time. every time. Genuine Honda 4-1 exhaust that polishes up beautifully. According to my local Honda dealer these bikes are good for up to 100. 00. I can well believe this as this CB400 Super Four sounds and rides like a bike with 5000 miles on it.
The CB400 Super Four has taught me how to ride and now I am ready for a bigger bike. Would love my bike to go to a good home. a new owner who can gain real pleasure from riding her. If I had more cash and more space in the garage I would keep her.
