1971 Honda SL70 SL 70

This nicely-running 1971 Honda SL70KO would be an excellent candidate for full restoration. or simply enjoy as is!

All lights and electrics were removed in preparation for full restoration. but I?ˆ™m offering it for sale. since I already have far too many projects in the pipeline. and I just can't give it the time that it deserves!

Engine and transmission run and shift very well. Straight frame. wheels and handlebars.

Seat is original. but cracks in the seams. Rear fender is straight. but front has dents and creases. Rear license frame is cracked. Muffler has some dents toward the rear. and has been repaired at the header junction. but is otherwise solid.

Chrome fork tubes are in great condition (no pits or rust). and have been serviced with new seals and dust boots.

 Original plastic side covers are in fantastic condition !!!! ?ˆ“ no cracks or bad scuffs.

 The following original components and collected parts are included (see photos):

-  Extra (yellow) fuel tank. Better condition that the original blue tank. and very clean inside!

-  Accessory Speedometer. Some light rust on case. Bracket fits handlebar clamps. May be from SL70K2(??). Odometer shows 1106 mi. but may not be accurate for this bike. Includes cable.

-  Wiring harness. front and rear brake switches. high-beam indicatory light. key switch. rectifier (mounting bracket needs repair). battery holder (needs new rubber strap).

-  Headlight bucket w/ mounting ears. bulb. and extra ring.

-  New OEM and repro parts: Rear shocks. 2 sets of tank badges. side cover and frame decals. muffler heat guard. rear tank rubber. clutch access plate. foot peg covers (w/ original pegs/springs).
