HONDA CG 125 CLASSIC 1978 ORIGINAL HONDA JAPAN DEPOSIT HAS NOW BEEN TAKEN

HONDA CG 125 CLASSICDEPOSIT TAKEN  I have for sale one of the best small bikes Honda ever made. The chap I bought it from told me it had been in a display cabinet at a holiday camp on the south coast for a number of years. I can't say if this was indeed true or not. unless someone out there saw it while on their hols? Let me know. He bought it for his grandson to learn on. but his grandson showed no interest in bikes and it never turned a wheel while in his ownership. and stood for several years in his garageHe had recommissioned it. and it was running and sounded sweet but was scruffy. According to the frame number it is from the first batch of genuine japan built Honda CG 125s. I bought it with the intention of restoring it and using it occasionally for my weekly bikers caf club meet. all my classic bikers mates are adding a small jap bikes such as the fizzies. A100s Yb80s etc. to their collection This is much more usable. it pulls and rides really well for a small bike. Anyway I bought it and put it in my shed (no room in the garage full of my other classic bike projects) sound familiar? where it remained for quite a while.   I finally got round to making a start on it last month and began to fettle it. Apart from the frame that showed the usual scuffs and marks from general wear and tear it looked very nice. I stripped it down to the bones and had the frame stove enameled. fitted two new tyres ( the old ones were cracked) a new aftermarket front mudguard. two new mirrors and painted the chain guard. The rest while in bits were checked. cleaned and polished. The engine was serviced and valve clearances set etc. Its now all back together and it runs and rides like a new bike. It still has the original tool kit under the seat. These bikes were so reliable and simple to maintain they have been copied times many. the same basic 125cc engine is still used today in many models with bits bolted on. To find one of the original Honda Japan built bikes in this condition is becoming hard to find. I really have enough toys. also its a bit small for me so its for sale. The small Jap classic bikes are becoming very popular with collectors. looked after this bike will only increase in value. at a much better rate than money sat in the bank and you could enjoy some fun rides out along the way. The bike is ready to use and requires no work. A cheap way to get into classic bike ownership. or add it to your collection.
