Honda Goldwing GL1000 (K1) 1976 Classic Collectible Appreciating Asset

Here is my beloved 1976 Honda Goldwing.   32. 000 miles from new ?ˆ“ fresh MOT.  Rides superbly. very smooth and is not as lardy as at looks.  Reliable. dependable and a sure fire classic machine. Much admired.

This is a really. really nice machine ?ˆ“ not quite a 1st prize show winner but it?ˆ™s still looking very. very good for its 36 year age. It was valued by a club member at £4. 00 and I am sure ones as original as this. if you can find one. will continue to climb up.

In 2011. as I rode to work. a small rattle started which I noticed as I pulled up and parked. coming from the left hand side.   Not loud. but easily discernible as not being right.   I parked it up in the garage. with a cover on and now 3 years later. I have just had it fixed at a classic bike shop locally in Hockliffe.

The problem was a bolt on one cam pulley which had come a fraction loose and the pulley was moving back and forth creating a slight rattle. Wish I had got it fixed two years before.   Anyhow it?ˆ™s now. serviced. oil changed. has a new battery and its ready to cruise away on.

It is a truly great machine to ride ?ˆ“ comfortable and stylish without all the clobber that later Goldwing?ˆ™s come with.   So with that in mind - it?ˆ™s easily worth (£4000-£5. 00).   Some people are asking over £6. 00 for similar condition machines. This is ideal for a serious hunter of classic machines ?ˆ“ please do come and view. don?ˆ™t just bid.
