Description

For your consideration. a rare 1964 CT200 Trail 90. the first year of manufacture for the Trail 90 series. These early bikes featured the early pushrod motor. leading-link front forks and a chrome upswept exhaust system. Folding steel foot pegs were also a new feature. and the clever dual rear sprocket arrangement carried over from the previous year's Trail 55 models. Excellent. unrestored condition - original paint. seat and tires - few left in this condition. Has some minor chips. scratches and dents resulting from light off-road use; please take a good look at the pictures. The yellow paint has a very good deep shine; the silver paint on the motor has some wear as shown.  The motor has been gone through by an experienced Honda Senior Technician and properly serviced and tuned. The bike starts easily and runs through the gears smoothly. The automatic clutch works perfectly as do the brakes and suspension. When fully warm. the bike idles nicely; the motor is especially quiet with no sign of mechanical problems whatsoever.  All the electrics work properly - every item. including the stop lamp. headlamp. even the neutral and big beam lights. The battery is brand new. The brakes both work correctly - this model has the rear brake operated by both a foot pedal and the left-hand handlebar lever. The speedometer and odometer work perfectly. showing just 2. 44 miles (as of today). The chrome exhaust is in decent condition. The main down pipe from the cylinder has a small repair and the rear tip of the muffler has some corrosion (pictured).  The seat is original. with some small splits and repairs. The chrome trim pieces are excellent. as is the seat base with original shiny black paint. I am including a brand-new good-quality pattern seat cover that I purchased recently but decided not to fit as I prefer the original item. It will be included in case the new owner prefers to install it.
