Honda CB400 Superfour Red 1992

Honda CB400 Superfour (Project Big One)Japanese import - declared manufactured 1992. been here since 2000Clock shows 44. 00 kilometres (27. 00 miles)Mechanically sound with excellent new red paint and correct Honda decals - and for a 400 it goes like hell. My son's first big bike - tidy condition but no oil painting - the photos improve it. it has lived outside and the fasteners are showing it - I have kept it serviced myself and the tyres have plenty of life in them. The rear shocks are Marzocchi I believe but they were on the bike when we bought it and work well whatever they are.  It has been dropped a couple of times. the excellent paint is a year old following a slow speed slide which taught the boy a lesson - I suspect it had a hard life before we had it too but the wheels are in line. it rides perfectly and all broken bits have been replaced. The couple of items below are not big issues but are here for completeness. The nearside front indicator is missing a clear lens but since the orange one is there it passed the MOT as is. The sidestand tang is broken off but it is easy enough to use as is - there is also a small crack in the front mudguard close to the mounting point - it been there forever and is difficult to seeThe exhaust can has a dent (see picture) - its not obvious until you look for it but it is there so I am mentioning it. The seat is quite a nice aftermarket item and v comfortable - we went touring in France last year and it never missed a beat. All lights. horn. brakes etc work perfectly and it had a new chain not long ago - it was in daily use until yesterday when he bought a bigger version (Hornet 600S) - The MOT is valid until June 2015 - it had an advisory on front wheel bearing play - these have been replaced (I have the boxes)Overall I think its a great bike which a handful of stainless fasteners would transform cosmetically. 99p start and no reserve. it has to go - if you have less than 10 feedback contact me or I cancel your bid.
