Up for auction a Honda CB750F2 Super sport 1977. Ideal winter project.
I've owned this for almost 4 years but not used it very much. It has been off the road for over a year and the mot and tax have expired.
Recently I put a new battery in. a new set of indicators. rebuilt the carbs with new jets and seals etc. Also with fresh oil and filter.
It now starts on the button and ticks over well (once warm).
The petrol tank is in 2k primer ready for a top coat. The side panels are one off carbon fibre. There is a good set of Koso clocks/gauges (originals included).
All of the lights and horn work. Tyres are good but the front has an air leak at the bead (may just need the bead re-seating).
Brake discs and pads are all in good condition. The clutch feels good and gears select as they should.
There are a few negative points to bear in mind. /p>
- there is still a leak on the no 2 carb. the float valve has been replaced and the float height checked. but there's still a steady drip.
- left fork seal is letting oil past.
- the air leak on the front tyre.
There wasn't a lot of history with the bike but there is lots of receipts for parts suggesting the engine was rebuilt in 2006 with a new primary chain and various
seals. bearings. rings Etc. I'm not sure what the mileage is but I think it has done around 4000 miles since the rebuild.
There are a few odd spares with the bike. stainless steel side panels and the original clocks.
Overall the bike is a great starting point for a one off. Or you could fix the leaks . et it Mot'd and ride as is.
This is an auction with no buy it now. nbsp; no offers and no haggling. Cash on collection.
