1974 Honda CB 750 Runs good, Looks good

Excellent running Honda CB750 motorcycle.  I have ridden this motorcycle all summer and fall with no problems. and see no reason why the next owner won't have a great time enjoying it too.  These old CB750s really shook up the motorcycling world when they debuted in 1969.  They featured a powerful. silky smooth transverse four cylinder motor with overhead cam and electric start. and a hydraulic front disk brake. They were dead reliable. and didn't leak oil.  Instant world beater!  CB750's were imported by the tens of thousands all over the world. but especially to the U. S.  They were loved. but time passed and for a long time they were just considered old and dated.  Most were worn out. wrecked. turned into choppers or were scrapped.  Decent original examples are hard to find. This CB750 is an unrestored original bike.  For almost all of its life it belonged to its original owner.  It was equipped with an aftermarket fairing and crash bar and used for touring. When I purchased it I replaced the seat cover and chrome headlight bezel. I also set the points. replaced the condensers (Chevy condensers. will outlast originals by a factor of 3). and adjusted the timing.  I replaced the rear tire with a new Gold Seal K70.  Front tire has good tread but is fairly old.  I flushed and replaced brake and fork oil. Condition Issues:  There are some cosmetic condition issues.  The tank has old paint that has been clear-coated to seal it. but there are a lot of imperfections.  There is a knee pressure dent on the left side.  Inside of the tank is rust free.  Both side covers have cracks but look fine from 10 feet.  There is some chrome pitting on the rims. more so on the rear. but nothing out of line for a well cared for motorcycle of its age.  The front fender has a dent where it contacted the now discarded crash bar.  Seat is missing the chrome trim around the base.  Front brake drags and squeaks a bit. even after I fussed and fooled with it.  Exhausts are very good but there is a very small rust hole on muffler #3 where it joins the header pipe.  The rest of the cosmetics are consistent with a well maintained  40 year old bike. Frame VIN:  CB7502501640Engine VIN:  CB750OE2378766This motorcycle is being sold with a Bill of Sale.  Maine does not issue Titles on older vehicles.  Check with your local DMV before bidding. but there is no problem registering it in other states.  It is currently registered in Maine. and the registration has transfer of ownership documentation printed on it.  Motorcycle is being offered locally. and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.  It is being sold in As Is Where Is condition. although it is available for inspection before end of the auction.  Purchaser must arrange and pay for any Shipping.  International buyers must make and pay for all Shipping and Export arrangements through a shipping broker.  With reasonable notice (48 hours) I will make myself available to meet with the shipper and make sure it leaves my property in good condition.  Motorcycle will not leave my possession until I have Cleared Funds in my possession.
