HONDA FIREBLADE 918 1998 M.O.T APRIL 2015

This is my Honda Fireblade 918 i have had the bike since August 2013 and as i have spent a lot of time cleaning it. i have not had much chance to ride it . In fact i think i have only covered about 100 miles since i bought it. and the longest trip was 35 miles. It has always been garaged in the workshop shown in the pictures. and never ridden in the rain in the time i have had it. Also i have had both front shocks rebuilt with new seals and dust covers. new front EBC pads. new chain and sprocket set. spark plugs and new regulator/rectifier fitted by Honda trained mechanic I have run the bike now and then to keep it sound. but it needs a new battery now as it was old when i bought the bike. i will fit a new battery before the bike is sold. I am selling the bike because i had a 6 year gap from when i last rode regular. and after riding again i have decided that i don't miss it. and would rather be cycling or driving. I have the Honda handbook and a dvla m. o. t history request. although the bike has 62k on the clock it was not m. o. t'd for 4 years i assume it has been used as a track day toy. as in 2008 it had a genuine 3. 50 miles on the clock then i believe it had a second hand speedo unit which may have been removed along with the original screen for track days! all the data tag codes on the body and fairing match up apart from the screen. which is an original type and not a double bubble as used on tracks. So if you combine the mileage it is about 6. 00 from new! if the bike has been used for track it may have covered a little more. or it may just have been laid up in a lock up! (like iv'e done)The bike fairing is clean with no obvious accident damage! no cracks or bad repairs. although a small repair was done to the rear seat panel fairing which i have rectified and sprayed it dark ash pearl with multi color flecks! much better than the boring original black. The bike is currently sorn as it is not being used. Other than rear mini indicators( fitted by previous owner) and triangle shaped exhaust it all seems originalThis is one of the cleanest and original blades you will find of this age. and as classic bikes are starting to come back in. it could also be a good investment.
