Description

1973 Honda Z50 AK3Beautiful & CompleteUp for sale is a restoration project I started a few years ago. She's finished now and ready for a new home. What's been done:Full dismantle of bike down to bare frame. Sandblast of frame. swing arm. wheel halves. pegs. kickstand. chain guard & tail lamp bracket. Renewed above items in a Black powder coat finish. Silver on wheel halves. (as near original as possible) Sandblast of fuel tank & front fork tubes. De-dented tank to like new condition with no body filler or welds. Renewed above items in a Blue powder coat finish. (as near original as possible)Replaced fuel petcock & tank decals. Sandblast of muffler. Renewed above item in "high heat" Black finish. Replaced wheel bearings. wheel bearing seals. fork seals. shift shaft seal. counter shaft seal & kick shaft seal. Replaced drive chain & sprockets. Replaced tires. tubes. rear brake lever. front brake shoes & rear brake shoes. Full dismantle of engine top end. Replaced guides. valves. valve stem seals. piston rings. gaskets & seals. Rebuilt carburetor & replaced air cleaner. Repaired main wiring harness & re-wrapped. Replaced headlamp & tail lamp bulbs. Polished tail lamps lens. polished chrome housing. cleaned socket & replaced gasket. Polished front fender. rear fender. & muffler guards. Polished left engine side cover (Honda logo area) & painted Silver. Replaced Hi-Lo headlamp switch. All original parts were used in this project where possible including bolts. nuts and fasteners. However some had to be replaced. The front are rear fenders do show some light scratches. The rear fender has a little tweek. The original seat cover does have a small tear. Sure. I could have replaced all three parts. However. I'll leave a few things up to the new owner. Pictures of these flaws are included in this listing. Bike starts up and runs great. cold or warm. Shifting seems normal for this 49cc automatic and the bike scoots along great. The headlamp and tail light work great on both hi and low functions. A title will not be included with this purchase. I do have the process started. This unit has no title record in the state of Washington so initially all you will get is a bill of sale. I've done my best to completely and accurately describe this restoration project. However. this is not a new bike. This Z50 is being sold as is with no warranty given or implied. Shipping within the continental USA is possible and can be arranged. Crating of this unit can also be arranged. The buyer is responsible for these costs. My guess is $500. 00 or less to most continental USA address locations. If you have any questions or would like a video of the bike running please let me know. Thanks for looking!
