Description

I am putting my 1976 Honda CB550K up for sale. I am the second owner of this bike and purchased it with 4200 miles. It currently has 11500.  It is absolutely mint. No pitting on chrome with excellent luster. No fade on the tank. no dents and no rust inside. Brand new professionally painted side covers. perfectly straight fork ears and no cracks in the headlamp bucket where they are typically found. Rare Jardine exhaust with exquisite header bends.  I've only found one other pic online. The exhaust note is awesome on these pipes and they are completely solid with a fully intact baffle which runs the entire length of the muffler with freshly wrapped headers. The headers where painted but i kept the slight surface rust on the pipe because I personally like the aged look. The new owner could leave it or simply rub it off and paint it.  Nothing has been touched as far as buffing or polishing to keep the original patina of the bike (plus it was already perfect so why make it shine like it never did). I also have the philosophy that it took nearly 40 years to look like that and to remove the patina makes it no longer original.  Seat has one small nickel sized nick.  Fires on the first hit of the starter and half way down the kick. Idles smooth and runs through all gears flawlessly.   Carbs were professional redone with all new internals and synced properly. Valves adjusted 300 miles ago. New chain. as well as front and rear chain rings.   All electrical works. Rims are perfect with no spoke rust. Yellow paint marks are still on the bike from the factory. New grips. Fork gators are in great shape and the fork seals were replaced.  Master cylinder was rebuilt and the brakes are in excellent condition. Needs a new rear tire. haven't had the time to get one and have it mounted. Besides that it is essentially a perfect bike.  I am selling to fund the purchase of an Airstream as a new winter project.   Has a low reserve in comparison to what a new 49cc scooter would cost you. Instead you can have a motorcycle that needs ZERO work done to it that will only appreciate in value. I have the prior reg. Buyer is responsible for shipping and a $250 deposit is required within 24 hours of the auctions end time and the rest in cash.  Message me with your number or email and I can send you videos of it running and being ridden.   Thanks for looking
