1985 Honda Elite 250 Scooter - Low Miles!

For sale is my 1985 Honda Elite 250 (CH250) with approximately 3. 00 original miles on it. A true classic and the first year a maxi-scooter was sold from Honda in the United States. I purchased this bike last March to fully restore the exterior and ride around. but my plans have changed.

The previous owner has dropped the bike a few time. so the front bodywork is damaged which I initially was going to repair. but have not gotten to. I have replaced many parts on the bike with Honda Genuine Parts. including several missing screws and bolts the original owner lost during maintenance. This bike just needs some TLC on the body. that's all! Just cosmetic.

I recently rebuilt the carburetor with new genuine parts (float. needle valve. o-rings) including replacement of the choke/bystarter valve. Other parts replaced include intake manifold insulator. vacuum lines. fuel lines. fuel filter. fuel petcock. spark plug. coil. battery (genuine Honda!). air cleaner. brake pedal cover. Again. all original HONDA parts. I have replaced the engine oil. engine coolant. final drive oil. and thermostat. When I bought the bike. the tool kit was missing. so I have purchased all new genuine Honda tools and the tool bag that goes with the bike. The original owner?ˆ™s manual is also included as is a Honda repair manual. This bike is in excellent mechanical condition. nbsp;no leaks. nbsp;starts right up and runs strong. Clean fuel tank. No rust. Seat is original and no tears or rips.  Tires are new and replaced by original owner last year. California registration is current through March of 2015 and has a clear California title.

The only thing mechanically wrong with the bike is that the ignition switch does not lock the handle bar. It appears the steering lock bracket was bent when it was dropped by the original owner. but could easily be fixed. The original owner replaced the ignition switch. so there are two different keys for the bike. One for the seat and glove box locks and one for the ignition.

Now for the good stuff. The sell of this bike includes impossible to find NOS Honda Lock Set which includes a one-key-fits all ignition switch. glove box and seat lock. They aren?ˆ™t installed now because the bracket needs to be fixed on the bike. Also included is an impossible to find NOS Front Handle Bar Cover painted the original color of the bike. I?ˆ™m also including NOS front and rear turn signal assemblies with lenses and a NOS ?ˆ?HONDA?ˆ? emblem for the front handle bar cover. These parts alone would cost over $600 if bought separately. or if you could even find them. The NOS parts are rare and very expensive. so I think the reserve (and Buy It Now) prices are fair and reasonable. I'm also including an extra front cowl cover (radiator and headlight cover). that I just bought which is used. but no cracks or broken brackets. Just needs some paint. A non-refundable PayPal deposit of $200. 00 is required within 48 hours of the end of auction. I will accept cash (in person) or certified bank or cashier?ˆ™s check for the balance. The title will not be signed over until all funds are cleared (if by certified bank or cashier?ˆ™s check). Also. shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
