Description

Honda CX500EC Sports        Honda's CX500 has got to be one of the toughest bikes ever built :) London was once awash with them as the perfect despatch rider tool. They are great at distance work with the shaft drive. transverse V-twin engine being relaxed and less busy on the motorway than fours or twins. this is also coupled with a comfortable riding position and well padded seat. This is the last and best 'Eurosport' 500 model which has the bikini fairing. proper twin piston brakes at both ends. 18" wheels and monoshock rear suspension. they are lower and narrower for the rider too.                                                              This bike is in good condition. it starts on the button sounding nice and smooth. it pulls well through the gears running and riding fine. It has good consumables with a recent rear tyre and Motad 2/1 exhaust. all the electrics work as they should (lights. hooter etc) so it recently passed the MOT giving it a year's ticket. the only thing that doesn't appear to work is the fuel gauge but it does have a fuel/reserve tap anyway :) The bike is not perfect as it isn't new. the paint is nicely done but not original and has a couple of signs of age/use but is still a good looking bike.                          A classic CX500 with Honda's superb build quality. it comes with the V5 logbook (interesting number plate) MOT and one old MOT. it has a couple of old service receipts and the keys.
