Description

 1971 Honda CB 750 Motorcycle

The CB750 the the king of the road of Motorcycles of the 1970s.

This motorcycle is  a barn find.    Was sitting in a barn for years.    Now just needs to be restored. Easy to do if you are familiar with motorcycles and Hondas.    Just takes a little time to refurbish the parts.   All the electronics work. lights. turn signals. starter.  clutch works. rear brake works.  and the engine turns over with the starter.    You will need to restore the front brake. nbsp; tank. and  adjust the carburators to get it started.   This bike was made Jan 1971.   But it looks like it was a late model 1970.    It could be set up like a 1970 K0 look with the other vented side panels.

the CB750 was rated one of the 10 best mortorcycles ever made.   A real collectable and fun bike to ride. getting harder to find and are increasing in value every year.   Fully restored ones going for big money.   Its all  here. the bike is complete. Frame. engine. electronics. guages. wheels brakes. trans.

1971 Honda CB 750 Four K1

This iconic motorcycle was sold from 1969 to 1976  . The bike had a 4-into-1 throttle cable system. The exhaust system was a 4-into-1. The engine was a 736cc SOHC 2-valve dry sump inline 4 cylinder linked to a 5-speed transmission and chain drive. The serial number began CB750-1000001.  Under development for a year. the CB750 offered two unprecedented features. a transverse straight-4 engine with a single overhead camshaft (SOHC) and a front disc brake. neither of which was previously available on a mainstream. affordable production motorcycle. These two features. along with the introductory price of US$1. 95 (US$9. 14 in current money). gave the CB750 a considerable advantage over its competition. particularly its British rivals. Cycle magazine called the CB750 "the most sophisticated production bike ever" on the bike's introduction. Cycle World called it a masterpiece. highlighting Honda's painstaking durability testing. the bike's 120 mph (190 km/h) top speed. the fade-free performance of the braking. the comfortable ride and excellent instrumentation. The CB750 was the first modern four-cylinder machine from a mainstream manufacturer. and the term superbike was coined to describe it. The bike offered other important features that added to its value: electric starter. kill switch. dual mirrors. flashing turn signals. easily maintained valves and overall smoothness and freedom from vibration both underway and at a standstill. This bike is an original survivor. a true barn find with all its bones intact. Mostly original with the exception of tires and exhaust this is the ultimate restoration project.
