Description

This is an absolutely gorgeous 1972 Honda CT70 K1 Mini-Trail.   Gleaming Canary Yellow paint and chrome.   Un-restored and absolutely original.   Originally in an extensive Mini-Trail collection.   I'm told by the previous owner that this is a "late 1971" production bike. as evidenced by the round holes on the muffler heat shield which was described to me as a one-year only design. impossible to find in good used condition and it is not being reproduced.   The muffler heat shield on this bike is pristine.   Overall the bike is in spectacular condition.   It has the factory Honda rack which is difficult to find and expensive to buy.   It has the original key and tool kit.

Look carefully at the detail in the pictures.   That peeling you see on the name plate is not a defect. it's portions of the original protective plastic covering.   It has the original protective plastic cover on the brake pedal.   The front and rear brake handlebar levers are perfect. no bends. nbsp;and the rubber tips are as new and undamaged.   The grips are perfect.   The cables are all original.   The only non-original part on the bike is the tires which are in perfect condition.   The paint shines like new. even on the wheels.   No damage on the swing arm or chain guard.   The only blemishes on the bike are shown in the pictures.   Some rubs on the paint on the upper fork covers (no dents however). and a couple of very small nicks in the paint on the top frame tube.   No attempts have been made at touch-up.   The original seat cover is perfect with the exception on a small imperfection that is shown in the pictures.   Honestly. I didn't even notice the seat imperfection until I was taking the pictures for this auction.   The seat foam is firm and not breaking-down.   This bike is superb un-restored condition and looks nearly exactly as it did when it was new 42 years ago!

The bike starts easily and runs and shifts as new. The brakes. lights. and horn all work as they should.

I bought this CT70 to use as pit bike at the race track and it is just far too nice for that duty.   This bike can be proudly displayed in your living room if you are so inclined.

The pictures tell the story but by all means send me a question if you need more information.

Thanks for your interest and good luck with your bids.
