1983 CB1100F custom orange excellent condition NR

If you are familiar with bike. then you already know it was the only year this was brought into the U. S. market. Also. it was listed as the fastest production bike at that time.  I removed all off the body panel and had them repainted to the factory's paint scheme. but where it was red. I went orange. All the decals were custom made and applied under the clear. The paint is gorgeous. All body panels are damage free and have all the mounting tabs intact. I have added the following new within the last 100 miles. Rear shocks. front fork seals (non pitted tubes). front and rear tires. and a battery. The bike has the correct exhaust. mirrors and air box. Some many of the bikes out have been molested of these parts. I just spent $1400 having work done at a local shop. including have the carbs cleaned and re jetted properly. All fluids and plugs were also changed. Now the down side. This bike is very cold blooded. It will start on first bump of the button. but it need to idle while you get your gear ready. After that. it has a slight stutter under 2000 rpm for a while. Once it crosses that band. it takes off like a rocket. I am sure a true vintage mechanic can tune it out. but the shop I used. threw in the towel. It also had /has a valve cover webpage problem. I ordered the new gasket. along with new bolt seals and 2 other related gaskets. I should have them on by Wednesday of this week. I will post an update once done.  This is a 32 year old bike. The pipes show a little pitting and the handlebar controls should be removed and repainted. The odometer reads 26k. I purchased the bike with the title reading "exempt" for mileage. I believe the odometer to be correct. but can't verify.  This is a beautiful. one off. piece of history.
