1971 Honda CB500KO, second owner with 8145 original miles.

Condition: starts. runs. shifts. stops. all electronics currently functioning. Aftermarket dual exhaust according to the original owner. original tires show some weather checking. Original top color of tank and side cases were Candy Garnet Brown. Candy Garnet areas were freshly repainted with Bright Silver Metallic and the original black on the tank remains. Paint on tank has a couple of touched up scratches and is not perfect. see photo. Fuel cap needs to be replaced. Seat was recovered recently but not to original cover. Some pitting on chrome but nothing major. Does have the usual shifter seal minor oil leak. The original owner stored the motorcycle in his rural airplane hangar since 1991 and bought it from the local dealer new in 1971. Always maintined until parked in 1991 he recently had it gone through locally last year to get it running including oil change. new battery. fuel tank was red-coated. silver was painted and seat recovered. A good condition bike but not for show. Engine# 1007274. Frame# 100732

Sorry. after review if my info. I left out a number from the frame: # 1007324 not 100732.  Original owner is now 84 years old and I am not sure about the origin of the dual exhaust. Thanks for looking!

Original owner states that he bought the dual exhaust from the Honda dealer in the 70's and did not like the sound of the stock exhaust. He did not keep the stock exhaust. Thanks.
