Today?ˆ™s riders maybe not be aware that the Honda Superhawk is a classic overachiever. The discerning seasoned rider recalls a wonderful machine that could cruise all day at 65mph in comfort. The bike handles great and the brakes work amazingly well. The new owner of this black beauty can pull up to any motorcycle show or Saturday morning coffee stop with confidence. But. be prepared for the photo op's and questions besides the usual. " had one. wish I kept it " or " my uncle had one. beat it. but it never broke ". This is a great bike for the adventuresome motorcyclist for weekends. overnights or evening enjoyment.
This is a great running motorcycle with no caveats. The engine has a new 2nd re-bore with Wiseco pistons. valve work. new top end seals and gaskets. Compression is 170 on both sides. The carbs were ultra sound cleaned and treated to rebuild kits as was the petcock. Timing is spot on and it starts easily with either the electric starter or kick lever. The engine has less than 50 miles on it. The alternator is putting out 13. 7 volts with the lights on to the NEW battery. NEW stock sprockets (15/30) and NEW drive chain complete the package.
The forks have been serviced. cleaned and NEW seals installed. Stock Honda mirrors top off the bike with NEW Honda low style handlebars. Both instruments are in proper working order with no dial face cracks or sun fade. All of the aluminum has been polished. The wheel hubs and brake plates have been polished then NEW stainless spokes installed. NEW tires and NEW tubes followed.
The fuel tank. side covers. chain guard and fenders have been painted a gloss black in a hardened urethane. The paint on the frame and fork trim are Honda original and is in very good condition. The seat has been covered professionally with a NEW correct cover.
The fuel tank panels and front brake support brackets were re-chromed. All other chrome items may have a minor issue but the chrome expense did not warrant the cost. The mufflers are in good condition with no rust issues and sound great.
This motorcycle was renovated as a very nice rider. I own and operate a small motorcycle restoration shop (marks650yamahas) specializing in older Honda's and XS 650 Yamahas (standards). Everything except chrome and engine boring are done in house. Our paint work has won Best in Class at AMC and VJMC shows nationally. I have a clear title in hand. We have assisted in shipping motorcycles for customers around the world including Norway. France. Switzerland. Australia. Canada and across the US. Seller is responsible for all shipping expenses. Open pallet or crate ($225. 00).
