1985 Honda CR250R! NO RESERVE! VINTAGE! AMHRA BIKE! ELSINORE??? Race Dirt Bike!!

Up for grabs is my friends 1985 Honda CR250R! Possibly Elsinore edition. This bike is absolutely mint for its age!To the best of our knowledge. it is all original!Please study the pictures well to verify that. The bike does need just a little bit of worK installing a new water pump impeller and housing on the right side crankcase cover. The right side crankcase cover had started pitting and corroding (as all the vintage Honda's are known to do).   We have repaired the right side crankcase cover with 2 part epoxy putty that hardens as strong as steel. sanded it down smooth. and made it ready to be reinstalled after the water pump parts have been installed!  That is all this vintage CR250R racing bike needs to be hitting the tracks again.   My friend does not have the time or the money to complete the repairs.   The repaired right side crankcase cover and the water pump parts pictured will be included in this sale.   Please study the pictures (at the end of the pictures posted) to see the repair and the parts to the water pump that are included.   I believe the only parts you will have to obtain is the impeller. pump housing cover. a few screws/bolts. and of course the gaskets.   I have done some research here on ebay and found out that these parts are available and will only cost about $100 for everything. Before the water pump started leaking from the right side crankcase cover (again. as they all do when they are this age). this bike ran absolutely perfect!  The inside of this engine is extremely clean. as this bike was always kept in tip top shape and cleaned after every ride and race (you can see how clean the parts are where the crankcase cover is off)!  You will not find a cleaner engine than this one!  It has always been garage kept. perfectly clean!  It has awesome compression and has always fired up on the first or second kick!  The motor and transmission is extremely strong and fast. no problems what so ever there. This is a perfect vintage bike to race the AMHRA circuit in the vintage 250 class.   This 85 CR250R will eat up any other bike in its class.   100% guarantee that this CR250R runs and drives absolutly perfect once the water pump is reassembled and the right side crankcase cover is put back on!  Everything on the bike is absolutely perfect and all original. as you can see in the pictures!  The tires are nearly as good as new. as you can see!  You will fall in love with this bike!  As I have just listing it for my crying friend!  lol My opening bid. with NO RESERVE. reflects the small amount of work that it needs on the water pump assembly and the reinstall of the right crankcase cover!  Take a look at what the right side crankcase cover has been sold for here on Ebay.   Add that along with the water pump assembly parts included in the box and you have more money in just those parts than I am asking for the whole bike!  Perfect engine. perfect frame. perfect forks. seat (1 dime size hole in the very back that has been repaired. cant even really notice it). carb. exhaust (has a couple of dings as a bike this age would have). tires. rims. swing arm. plastics. shocks. and all the other parts on this bike is perfect.   If I do not get my opening bid price. for some insane reason.
