1978 Honda CB750A, 9868 orig miles, Original paint, Super sharp!

 This is my 1978 Honda CB750A "Hondamatic" with only 9869 miles. I purchased this bike from a woman who upgraded to a Yamaha FJR1300AS. a more modern clutchless motorcycle. She had the Honda shipped in from Iowa then stored it in her dry basement after she bought the Yamaha.  Her husband ran the Honda annually with fresh fuel. added stabilizer. then drained the carburetors each year. So the carburetors did not get all gummed up. The inside of the gas tank also is shiny as new.  

I test drove the bike several miles. It runs. drives and shifts fine.  The lights. high and low beam. turn signals. fuel gauge. shift indicator. brakes. horn and the electric start work. The tires are very new. The front disc brake does not stick. The bike ran with no obvious faults. That said. this is a 36 year old motorcycle driven less than 275 miles annually. It was last registered in 2010. I do not know its prior service history. so expect to perform all routine service before regular road use.

This bike has original paint and the color is "candy polaris blue" the only year that particular color was offered.  1978 was also the only year that they came with "Comstar" mag wheels. 4 into 2 exhaust is correct. but the mufflers here might not be original. I'm not sure but. if not. nbsp;they are close.   Paint and chrome are excellent. This bike has optional engine case guards. I took off the after-makert driving lights and highway pegs shown in some of the photos. See additional pix. All pix are recent. The bike also comes with its original kick lever and toolkit.

Clear Pennsylvania title in my own name. Deposit required at auction's close.   Please be sure you have you plans for pickup. transport. etc. . in place. because your deposit is not refundable. No hurry to pick up the bike given the holidays. I can hold the bike for a reasonable time. even up to 60 days (so long as it is paid for). In the interim. nbsp; it will be stored inside.
