Honda CB550 1975/6 bike project Runs MOT unfinished part exchange spares repair

Where to start. this is a piece of Honda motorcycle history. sohc air cooled. 2 valves per cylinder. simplicity in itself. however it will remain a 'rat bike' or it will need a LOT of time. the paintwork is rubbish. the frame needs a blast & paint. the wheels are non standard. no battery. no airbox. some mod done to where the inlet manifolds are??. really uncomfy seat. non standard wheels. etc. etc. BUT it runs. FYI the CB550 was the poorer brother to the famed CB400/4 & 750/4's of the same era. don't know why it was less popular. but it is now becoming rarer as every day passes. I remember having one in the late 70's & loved it. the only thing that went wrong was the rear hub cracked (mine was spoked wheels). This bike could be restored or turned into a cafe racer. bobber. etc. The Log book has been missplaced so expect to pay a ?25 fee to DVLA for a new one. if it is found before the end of the auction I will ammend the listing.
