Description

This Honda CBR125RW-9 has come up for sale here in West Sussex. The bike has a service history and the engine starts and sounds sweet However the bike is in generally poor condition and could do with quite a few small jobs done to make it a nice bike again. If you are interested in this bike then do get in contact and ask as many questions as you like. This bike has a lot of natural & added character (rust dents that sort of thing). Although I have not ridden the bike I have run through the gears on wheel rollers and all seems to sound and perform normally. Instructions to purchase. Check with me that bike is still available. Send ?100. 00 deposit via card (over the phone) or PayPal PayPal user id available on request). Good points. Low price. Included paperwork; HPI print out (all clear). owner’s manual. service book (stamped by dealer). Bad PointsDents in tankBelly Pan crackedRight handle bar right is bent. Seat lock seized possibly brokenLuggage hook bentNo mirrorsFront right indicator is loose and is pattern type. Rear tyre is bald. The Left rear side panel scuffed. The clutch cable is half seized. Clutch and brake levers are bent an broken. Left inner fairing broken & is cable tied to the outer fairing. There is no current MOT test certificate with the bike. When cold. the engine bursts in to life straight away. There is no smoke. unusual noise or any other sign of any excessive wear. As the motor warms it settles down to a nice slow tick over. Is the mileage right? The previous owner has signed for the mileage. and the mileage shown on the VOSA MOT test history shows no discrepancy. However whilst I think it is possible that it is right. I have no outright proof. Other. Because the bike is not in a legal condition and has not been used for a long time (apart from my recent trip out on the bike a few days ago) I would recommend the bike is taken away on a trailer or in a van (just in case). VideoThe video in this description is intended to give you an idea of the wear and tear. and any defects that I have found. whilst examining and testing the bike. The video also give more detail on points relating to the paperwork. the good & bad points. I do not always make comment on items that are supposed to wear or age as part of their normal function on a used motorcycle unless specifically asked. These items can include tyres. brake friction material. drive chain and sprockets. tyres. fork seals and lamp bulbs and anything else that might be affected by wear or age. The paperwork. There is a hunt going on for the V5 registration document. so it would be best to assume that you will have to apply for a new one. and then if it turns up before you collect the bike it will be a bonus. HPI Provenance Check. The bike has been checked against the HPI database this shows the bike:Has a secure background. Is clear of finance. Is clear of any previous accident insurance pay out. Is not stolen. There are a number of other features in the check that are also included. If you go on to the RAC website you can get the check done yourself (at a cost of ?25) they will also cover you up to ?10. 00. 00 in case of an error. eBay will also do the check for you for ?6. 00. Viewing. Viewing prior to deciding whether you are going to buy is not usually possible. This is because I work on my own. Keeping up with the collections and deliveries and everything else that is going on keeps me very busy & leaves me with very little spare time. Whilst I do also appreciate that some buyers want to see before they buy. this is not something I can help with. I know have to lose a few potential buyers because of this. This gives me time to supply those who will buy without seeing first. If you do decide to buy without seeing the bike. I would not force you or anybody who was unhappy on seeing the bike to go ahead with the transaction and of course refund your ?100 deposit. The pictures. Tip: Pressing F11 on your keyboard should enlarge your pictures still further. Press F11 again to turn off. The pictures below were taken on 18/12/14. No ‘Photoshop’ or similar photo makeover has been used to make the bike appear any better than it is. so take a good look at these pictures. as you may well see more detail here than you will if you are standing in front of the bike. After the pictures were taken the bike was put into dry storage. and will be kept dry & unused until sold. Thank you for looking.
