Description

This is auction is for my fully restored Honda Superdream 400 N  ( relisted as it did not reach its reserve before christmas  of which i have now lowered) The bike is in fully working condition and isnt used as much as it should be . she rides just as it should ( remembering this is a 33 year old bike so suspension and brakes where not as good as todays superbike tech) . ive done many trouble free miles and she has past every M. O. T since i built her 4 years ago. This year she had two advisories.  low tread on rear tyre and front brake lines slightly cracking .  so rear tyre replaced and ive fitted some nice braided lines on the front .  As you can imagine after all my hard work im not going to let the engine be destroyed by a poor service record so she gets fresh quality oil and filter twice a year and new plugs every year whether she needs it or not . to be honest the small amount of miles i do she doesn't really need that much servicing but like i said . all that hard work im going to look after her.  As i use her for pleasure  she has only covered around 2. 00 since the rebuild.   she has new chain and sprockets aswell. basically theres nothing to spend your money on apart from petrol. The engines sounds great and runs really smooth . its never let me down. a little bit of blue smoke on start up but that soon clears. and she has a lovely shiny  two into one motad exhaust. and surprisingly powerful and keeps up  with modern traffic with no effort.  she starts everytime and has a new battery and is kept on a trickle charger at all times . i will include the trickle charger in the sale as ive wired it up to a small plug under the seat so there not messing around with the battery. just plug it in when you get home and it looks after the battery for you. very clever ! . There are over 100 pictures of the rebuild and i also wrote a book about the rebuild . all will be included in the auction . the bike has appeared in "RIDE" magazine a few times . so she is a little bit famous as well ha ha ha . paintwork is real nice a shiny as well . remember this bike is not a museum piece . ts a bike i built to be ridden. so she is not immaculate. but saying that she gets positive comments every time i pull up into a car park with bikers in it. if i had to score it id give it 8. 5 out of 10.  she is very very sharp ( the picture do not do her justice) i just want to be clear as i would'nt want any confusion. (although  i have been asked three times now to enter her into  classic bike show competition's as they believe she would get a winning place so i guess she cant be to bad )   the last for pictures of the bike ( in my garage) where taken today so as you can see she is still in fantastic condition . The other pictures where taken over the last couple of years and the last few pictures are of the restoration four years ago.   The restoration was from the ground up including.  front suspension carbsengine framedials(clocks)brakes (calipers)bodyworkpaintwork ive put the mileage down as 2000 as thats what it has done since the rebuild but the clocks say 11. 00. but as these clocks have been taken from another bike then dismantled and cleaned and rebuilt this number is incorrect for the bike anyway !! ( just being honest and to save and confusion)  she has done countless nice little rides out around the sunny welsh countryside and has been nothing but a total pleasure to ride .  i have an Honda SP-1 and Triumph Tiger 955i and if im going out for a little ride id much rather take the superdream. its good old fashioned biking . a real pleasure . and hear lies my problem . the classic bikers tale .   new house !   sp-1 equals new bathroom . triumph equals new carpets throughout . superdream equals a plasterer for a few days .   real shame to get rid of her but such is life .  someone is going to get a cracking bike this really is a great bike so im not going to give her away . nothing to do with sentimental value i just feel that she is more than worth it plus as ive noticed they are going up in value so fast . ive set my reserve at ?1400 which i feel is more than reasonable.  I dont think i missed anything off but if i have feel free to get in touch if you have any questions
