1998 HONDA FIREBLADE 918 RR

Selling due to serious illness in the family. Honda Fireblade 918 RR in HM Plant livery. bike has Mot until March 2015 and is currently taxed until end of Feb 2015. Starts. runs and rides beautifully and bodywork is solid with only a few minor age related marks. the solo seat cowl needs a bracket to fasten it shut. a rear pillion seat would be an advantage although it looks great with the cowl. The speedometer is not functioning at present. this is due to metal filings building up on the magnetic speed sensor and just needs the sensor taking out. cleaning and replacing. These minor faults are reflected in the price. this is an awesome bike. more responsive than the 954 fuel injected model and is extremely reliable. We are situated in Aspull. Wigan and I may be able to deliver the bike locally although it is generally buyer collect (with correct insurance or a van) no test pilots until it is paid for. I've only found out the speedo fault when road testing before sale. It is an easy fix and common to bikes with this type of sensor in the engine. Also I am in no hurry to part with this beauty. I may even fix the niggles and up the price next season. this is a bargain for one of these iconic bad boys.
