Honda VTR 1000 Fire Storm motorcycle - Red - V Twin 1000cc. Low mileage - Late 1997 model - stored for last 10 years. This motorbike was purchased brand new by me on 01/09/1997 from Motorcycle City in Reading & has completed only 9. 00 miles from new in its first 7 years.  It has had only ONE owner.  (Reg).  There is no HP or debt on this machine.  Note that the dials show kilometres. It is red & all original - There has been no tinkering with this machine accept for a set of replacement tyres & a main drive chain. It comes with a service manual for its first few years & an instruction book & original paperwork incl. Old MOT‘s & SORN‘s. When first purchased it was an EU import which was fairly common for its time direct from the Main Dealer.  Therefore it has a kilometer speedo with MPH over stickers.  The headlight has not been changed but did not represent a problem in any of its previous MOT’s. This motorcycle was used as a training machine for Direct Access M/C Training as my main instructor ‘following bike’ within my small time ‘one man band’ part time motorcycle training school in Marlow Bucks. IT WAS NOT USED BY THE TRAINEE.  It has never been dropped or abused. It has been stored within a dry heated garage for all its life & sat still since 2004  thinking I would resume the motorcycle training again one day but family & other work commitments got in the way (that’s life!)It is a fantastic example of a totally unbent machine that has been well looked after.  It is in fantastic condition. I am now require the garage space so having a clear out of this & several other motorcycles over the coming weeks.  This is also cathartic exercise brought on by my wife’s nagging as I am now realising that I probably will not get back into motor cycle training ever again. This is the fifth bike to be sold over recent weeks (see my sales history) & all other previous purchasers have been delighted with my previous bike sales.  I tell it like it is. The motorbike had its last Continuous MOT expire in August 2005 & has been serviced in house for its later years of occasional use.  I do not have a separate independent continuous service history for this motorbike.  It was also MOT’d for the year July 2008 to 2009 but never ridden - simply brought back to the garage & stored. The machine is sold as seen and without a current MOT.  I can confirm that the motorbike turns over on the starter but it does have a fuel leak from the carbs so I am reluctant to fire it up.  This I think is due to the carb seals being dry & shrinking - seems like a common thing for a stored motorcycle that is not run once very couple of months during its storage.  Therefore I think the fuel tank. air box & carbs will need removing to inspect & locate the fuel leak (half a days work for an experienced mechanic).  The leak may well stop now that the carbs are full again over time but this is the current state of play.  Once the fuel leak is cured obtaining your own MOT should not present a problem - I simply do not have the time or inclination to do this.  The battery is brand new. The condition is very good for its age. It does not have any major scrapes & is an excellent very low mileage unbent machine that will make someone very happy. The purchaser must collect & use a van or other transport to get it home.  I do have a trailer & can offer to deliver it locally (within 10 miles radius of Marlow) at an extra cost of ?50. 00 after your initial check inspection for verification of its condition.
