This bike is a lovely colour (and a rare one at that - 'Tahitian Blue'). low mileage and mechanically sound all round - it's the perfect bike for learners! I'm only selling as I've decided that two wheels aren't really for me unfortunately! The previous owner fitted a new chain and new downpipe in September 2013. It's fitted with Bridgestone tyres front and back. each with loads of tread left. As this is the RW-7 CBR. it's fuel injected so there's no choke and no worries about it not starting on those cold mornings! The bike was fitted with a tighter rear shock spring by the previous owner. meaning that it sits about 20mm lower than with the original spring (meaning that it corners better). I have the original (factory) spring as well though. so this can be refitted if required. The bike had regular oil changes carried out by all previous owners. and I changed it myself immediately after getting it (less than 100 miles ago). It's only just done 10. 00 miles. The bike passed it's MOT (no advisories) in September 2014 after having new fork oil seals fitted. and has only done 5 (yes 5!) miles since then. so you know that it's spot on and ready to ride! Petrol tank is full too!I'm 6' tall. and find the bike perfectly comfortable. The previous owner was 6'4" and he was fine too (even with the lower spring). so this bike is perfect for learners of pretty much any height (unlike others. which look like toys as soon as anybody over 5' gets on!). The bad bits (these are pretty minor!) - the previous owner managed to drop the bike (while stationary) a couple of times. As a result. both front indicator stalks are cracked (but still work fine. one is reinforced with insulating tape). both front fairings have minor cracks around the indicators and some scrapes to the fairing decals. and the outer edges of the mirror plastics are scuffed. There is some superficial corrosion on non-moving parts. but this is simply as it has been used as an all-weather bike by the previous owner. There are some small marks/scuffs on various fairings. but that's to be expected on a bike that has been owned by learner after learner! If you were really concerned about these. a couple of new indicators would set you back about ?30 and then you could source left and right mid-cowls in the correct colour to get her looking almost as good as new! But as I say. the bike is mechanically sound and ready to go. Road tax is only ?17 a year. and you can get up to 100mpg from this little beauty. so it's cheap to run too!The bike is located in Carlisle. Cumbria (5 minutes from junction 43/44 of the M6) and viewings are welcome any day. I have both sets of keys for the bike. and of course the V5 too. You can take it for a test ride only if the full asking price is in my hand in cash - if you crash. the bike is yours!
