1984 Honda VF1000F Interceptor, Excellent Condition! 10K miles

Great condition bike from my personal collection. Awesome bike that will start. run. and stop without issue. The last year's worth of use consisted of 200 mile commutes to work. As part of my rotating stock. the VF1000F rides extremely comfortable and will move down the road at normal or above normal driving speeds. Just an great. sorted out motorcycle. This is my third 1984 VF1000F. The first was bought brand new (sold). bought a second one in 2004 that was not in very good condition (government move destroyed it…now is a parts bike) and this one i purchased in 2010 from a collector (largest and most amazing Honda collection i've ever seen) in Oregon (he was the second owner). If you are not familiar with the story of the 1983 VF750 Interceptor/1984 VF1000F/1985 VF1000R. call me and we can discuss. it is a significant history. If you are viewing this auction. you are probably already tracking. Aesthetically. darn good. Low 9 of 10. Three small imperfections on tank. pictures included. Paint is original with zero flaking of striping. Amazing original paint! Seat has a few small pin holes. but not significant. Mechanically. turn signals are working intermittedly…will continue to trouble shoot this issue. In storage for the past 90 plus days. oil and filter change. fluids flush. and normal adjustments occurring now. Battery is always on a charger when not in use. works great. but is 4 years old.  Tires are 85-90% good. plenty of quality traction. Weather dependent. you could drive this bike as far as you desire. As stated earlier. my commutes to work were 100 miles (2 hours) each way. At 6'2" and with a hip that ain't as good as it once was. no discomfort issues at all. Most of the 1000F Interceptors owners will tell you this bike is better tagged as a Sport Tour that an all out sport bike…but when you twist the throttle. it exudes all Sport Bike…. greatly benefited by a larger half fairing. dual radiators keep it running cool. while it's chain driven dual overhead cam four valve engine will keep you smiling all the way home. Always use 93 Octane gas with additional fuel cleaning additives. One item keeps the bike from being original.  The original owner removed the stock "exhaust silencers/"slip ons" and installed the ones pictured. These are the stock silencers from a 1985 VF1000R. No measurable performance difference. can only guess he wanted silver canisters instead of the solid black of stock. The only negative aspect is the center stand can no longer be installed based off the different shape of the canisters exiting the exhaust collector. I use a swing arm type aftermarket stand for storage and maintenance.  I will assist your choice of shipper (physically. not monetarily). Open for discussing storing for a later pickup. but will need all funds first. Clear title and currently registered in Washington State (live in Kentucky. recent retired military). Check my feedback. I have provided an honest assessment of a bike that will continue to provide years of enjoyment. plenty of power and comfort. and not fit any cookie cutter model. Produced for one year only. never hurts to own something you don't see everyday. No warranty provided or implied. this is a 31 year old motorcycle.  Open to all forms of communication. love this bike. great bike. but have a deposit on a Dodge Challenger Hellcat. retirement is busier than anticipated. storage fees are rising. 83 Katana. 92 RSS Buell. and others are yelling for attention. etc.
