Superior condition bike from my personal collection. Awesome bike that will start. run. and stop without issue. The last year's worth of use consisted of 200 mile commutes to work. As part of my rotating stock. this 1982 CBX rides extremely comfortable and will move down the road at normal or above normal driving speeds. Just an great. sorted out motorcycle. The bike is even better considering that i just completed a near complete mechanical overhaul of the bike! I performed all the work minus mounting the tires and what a great experience! I fell more in love with this bike with every upgrade and repair i performed. Quick summary of recent repairs/upgrades (all completed within the last 700 miles. some completed in the last 100 miles). New OEM Headlight and High Intensity Bulb. New OEM Valve Cover Gasket with new Speedometer Cable O-Ring. also replaced all Valve Cover Bolts gaskets/O-Rings. New Spark Plugs. Complete new Drivetrain. Front and Rear Sprockets as well as a new Chain. New Front Bridgestone Spitfire 100/90-19. New Rear Bridgestone Spitfire 130/90-18. Complete Rebuild of Front and Rear Brake Calipers. new Brake Pads Front and Rear. Synthetic Oil and Filter change. Only non-stock items on this machine:Corbin seat with passenger backrest. Russell Stainless Steel brakelines front and rear. Tim's CBX 6-into-6 Exhaust (further sets it apart from other CBXs). I don't have any of the aforementioned stock items. Aesthetically. darn good. Low 9 of 10. Original paint is in amazing condition! Small amount of paint flaking on leading edge of right side of gas tank (hardly visible given the front fairing covering it). and small amount of stripe flaking on top of the right side of the gas tank near the gas cap. Just a very good visually striking machine. The right side "glove compartment" has a crack near the lock but it does not interfere with the locking of the cover. Mechanically. all electrics work as good as new. Charges extremely well and battery has been on tender when not in use. At 6'2" and with a hip that ain't as good as it once was. no discomfort issues at all. My 5'9" wife has ridden as a passenger numerous times and states it is the most comfortable touring motorcycle i own. The Pro-Link suspension flat out still gets it done. whether one or two up. and either under normal or spirited riding conditions. Obviously not a lightweight sportbike…but when you twist the throttle. it exudes all Sport Bike…. greatly benefited by a large half fairing. and what can you say about a six-cyclinder. dual overhead cam four valve engine that won't keep you smiling all the way home. Always use 93 Octane gas with additional fuel cleaning additives. I will assist your choice of shipper (physically. not monetarily). Open for discussing storing for a later pickup. but will need all funds first. Clear title and currently registered in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Check my feedback. I have provided an honest assessment of a bike that will continue to provide years of enjoyment. plenty of power and comfort. and not fit any cookie cutter model. Never hurts to own something you don't see everyday. especially in this engine configuration. No warranty provided or implied. this is a 33 year old motorcycle. Open to all forms of communication. love this bike. great bike. but have a deposit on a Dodge Challenger Hellcat. retirement is busier than anticipated. storage fees are rising. 83 Katana. 92 RSS Buell. and others are yelling for attention. etc.
