Original 1979 Honda CT70 Motorcycle W/ TitleHere we have for sale a beautiful all original 1979 Honda CT70 motorcycle. This is a super nice original bike with only one owner original. The bike was bought brand new from a man here in Reno in 1979 and he traveled a lot with the bike. He was a very crafty guy and as you can see on the main tube of the frame. he split the frame and welded two flanges and secured the front end with the back together. He made it so he could travel down to Mexico and ride his Honda. With four bolts. and a disconnection of the ignition. you can remove the front end of the bike. It was a genius and very well done modification that was done. It's so interesting to look at. The thought behind it and time it took to build was extensive and that is what drew me to this bike. It's just a little different then every other Honda out there. My grandpa did this exact same this to a 1960's Honda CT90 when he went camping. he made the front end collapsible by a hinge. Very smart thing to do when you do not have a lot of room when traveling. The handlebars were converted to the early style trail 70 bars that fold down. which was another way to make the bike smaller when traveling. It also appears that the front fender was shortened and the tail lights were narrowed to make it easier to collape into a small area. The front fender has a scrape on it. Everything else on the bike is unrestored and original. The tires are original Nitto tires. The do have some cracks in them. The paint is all original throughout the bike. The seat is all original too. They do not reproduce the seat cover that was available for the 1979 Honda's. The bike runs great and very smooth. The transmission shifts throughout all of the gears smoothly. The wheels are in excellent shape. The engine looks great and same with the exhaust. There is little scrapes here and there on the bike. But overall it is in great shape for its age. It only has 1. 00 miles. I am sure this bike could tell some stories and I am sure it's been all over the country given the modifications that it has had. All of the electrical works. The electrical has been wired for a large plug in on the side of the frame. Very well done too! The rear shocks look like they are larger for possibly riding with a passenger. I have the original owner manual. tool kit. and title for the bike when it was sold new. I have a Nevada title for the Honda. It's a clean and clear title so that you can register the bike in your state. Please contact me with any and all questions that you might have before bidding on the Honda. My phone number is 775-830-6760. I can store the bike for one month so that shipping is made and bike is picked up. I can help coordinate pickup of the bike with the shipping company. Thanks for looking!
