Description

This listing is for a 1984 Honda VF700C Magna with ~39. 00 miles.  The engine runs well (link below to see and hear it run) and the base appearance parts are good. We think this is a decent low cost option for someone to clean up and fix a few things then use it as a first bike or maybe basic transportation. It would also make a nice start for a custom bike. Please be sure to use the condition definitions below to know what we mean by saying something is in excellent. good. fair. or poor condition. This bike will require some basic service and repairs to be road ready. Also please be sure to see the notes section at the bottom of the listing.

Motorcycle Condition:

Fuel tank - Good - No dents and inside of tank is cleanExhaust - Good - Factory exhaust is in good shape including the chromeSeat - Very good - No rips. cuts or tearsPaint - Fair - It looks like someone at one point sanded the top of the gas tank and repainted it. The sides of the tank look factory. Electrical - Fair to Good - Everything seems to work with the exception of turn signals. Requires a replacement turn signal switch. Other cosmetic - Fair to Good - Side covers are decent. Rear grab handle and six pack rack are faded and have some scratches. Turn signals have peeling chrome and RF needs a new stayRims - Fair - These are 50 footers. Look great from 50 ft but up close can see some bubbling chrome in spotsMechanical - Good overall with the following items requiring attention:Valve cover seals have small leaks. Parts are readily available and inexpensive. Carburetors definitely require service. Cleaning as a minimum and if all original. maybe some new rubber parts inside. The engine runs fine but due to the carbs idle is erratic. Fork wipers need replacement. No obvious fluid leaks but it's possible the seals may need to be replaced as well. Front brake pads look like they might need replacing in a few hundred milesTires - Good - Plenty of treadHandlebars - Good - Please note that someone installed mini-apes which are on the bike in the pictures.
