Description

1939 Indian Four Cylinder Motocycle basket case for sale. Titled in Minnesota. Mostly original and mostly complete. Any parts missing are easily found in reproduction parts if unavailable in original.  The gas tank. fenders. and chain guard are original sheet metal. The Schebler DLX 113 was replaced sometime along the way with a Linkert M16 and is long gone. The engine crankcase / transmission case was damaged and repaired many years ago and will have to be repaired properly to ride or show the bike.  The engine appears to have all of the components (internal and external) including a new porcelain coated exhaust manifold and two new intake manifolds. The crank shaft is cleaned up and ready to install. The Corbin speedometer. Splitdorf RM magneto. oil pressure gauge. and Linkert M16 carburetor are in nice shape but need to be restored. The solo seat and mounting hardware are finished and ready to install. The Motolamp headlight is original and in nice shape. The wheels have new rubber on them. have been laced with new spokes. and the rims were painted before I got the bike. The rear fender has the tail section and is solid. The front fender is also solid. There is an extra rear fender that is missing the tail section. The frame. gas tank halves. nbsp;front forks. and chain guard are in primer. I have owned this bike since the mid 1990's. I planned on restoring it but realize now that it will never get done if I keep it.  This bike is the last year of the open fenders models for Indian and highly collectable. It deserves to be owned by someone who can restore it back to its former glory. That is why I'm selling it. I'm sure I forgot to mention a few things so just ask if you have any questions. To the winning bidder. a $1000. 00 deposit will be due within 48 hours of auction close and you must arrange the pickup and/or shipping. I will sell the bike to any country and will work with the winning bidder to make this transaction go as smoothly as possible. Thank you. Good luck in the auction.
