This beautiful bike is a show stopper. Its red and white two tone paint is fabulous. It won its class in the Oakland Roadster Show some years back and has been in storage in a garage under several blankets for the last 8 years. It has been owned by the same man since 1996. This fellow has owned it for the last 18 years but his 88 years of age have made it difficult to ride like he used to. He bought it from the man who restored it and finished it in a magnificent manner. It not only has all the attributes of a stock Indian top of the line Roadmaster Chief but it also has several extras. Passenger pegs have been added to the footboards and a windshield and spotlights were part of the additions. The stock Indian script black leather saddlebags were put on as well as a tour box which was painted to match the bike for touring the countryside for easy access. It is bolted to the brackets that attach the saddle bags so it can be removed without any signs of being used. The electrical system was updated with a German generator that outperforms the standard generator. Of course and Indian scripted battery. A harley rocker clutch pedal was added to shift easier. This bike was painted in show quality fashion by renouned painter Horst. Machine has matching Avon wide whitewall tires that are quite attractive and ride well. Also a Crocker steering damper has been added to help the smooth ride. And it does ride marvelously! One kick and it fires right up and runs quietly with no vibration or rattles. After a short warm up its ready for the road. The bike was totally restored in California and all the receipts come with the biike. The bike was rebuilt stem to stern with all original parts. The rear view mirrors even say Indian on them. The engine cases were replaced with a pair that were found to be within tolerances giving a more solid base to the motor. Cases are identical except the serial number. Even a brand new speedometer was added with the rebuild to document the mileage on the new bike. This beautiful bike has been detailed with the addition of Indian black leather mud flaps and a very comfortable rebuilt Indian seat with all the fringe! Look over the pictures and try to recall a more beautifully restored machine. Any questions or to see this bike feel free to call Jim at 530 333 4760 Bike is located in Georgetown. ca. thanks
