Description

Hi I'm Evan from RaceTech Electric. This is my new personal Ebay account that I have started and I'm still building up positive feedback on this account. You can see my business ebay account 'racetechelectric' which has over 1400 positive feedback. This was a personal bike and project so I'm selling it under my personal account. I just wanted to explain the low feedback level in case you were wondering. I just recently returned from a trip to Cochin India where I rented a Royal Enfield Bullet 350. I rode all over southern India for a week and had an absolutely amazing time developing a love for Royal Enfields. As soon as I came back home at the start of May I began looking for a Royal Enfield. I came across this 1980 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 locally in need of work and picked it up. I rode it for a couple weeks before tearing it down for a complete cleaning & tuneup. Since I enjoy riding these bikes so I much I've decided to bite the bullet (haha) and get a new Royal Enfield Continental GT 500 as I commute over 75 miles per day and sell this one in peak condition. This is a beautiful 1980 Royal Enfield Bullet 350. It is an original Indian market bike and was imported to the USA in 1980 by a guy in Seattle WA. The guy imported 5 of these Bullet 350's in crates at the same time. The bike comes with all of the original import paperwork from Enfield India the local motorcycle shop handling the import the EPA & DMV paperwork allowing the bike's registration and the payment invoices from the factory. It also includes a bound copy of Pete Snidals Royal Enfield service manual which is invaluable for working on these. It has a clean California title and current registration all in my name. Since this bike was an Indian market motorcycle it has a right side shifter. It is a 4-speed transmission (shift pattern is 1 gear up and 3 gears down). The rear brake is on the left side. This bike has a very cool feature a Neutral Finder. This is a heel pedal on the right side above the foot peg. It allows you to reset the transmission directly to Neutral with your heel from any gear 2-4. It is kickstart only (on the right side). It uses a 6-volt battery with upgraded charging system (just installed silicon rectifiers removing the old diode bridge rectifier) and points ignition. It has a good working ammeter to show current draw from the battery. It has working rear turn signals taillight and good headlight with high/low beam. The bike has old but good tires and good brakes. To get the bike ready for daily riding the bike was disassembled. The motor was removed and completely resealed. All new gaskets were made and installed for the cylinder base & head valve covers primary chain cover carburetor timing case points shaft etc to eliminate leaks. The points and condenser were replaced and the timing was set per the service manual. All fluids were replaced fresh Castrol GTX 20W50 in the crankcase and ATF in the primary chain case. The motor was completely cleaned degreased and polished. The frame was cleaned and painted after being degreased. The entire motorcycle is extremely clean and looks excellent. The gas tank paint is very nice and has been buffed and polished. The exhaust pipe has been cleaned and polished although it has many spots where the chrome has flaked off the pipe. The motorcycle had many existing electrical problems originally. The old rectifier had shorted diodes and the lights and key were switched incorrectly. A new solid state rectifier was installed regulation is handled by the lighting system. A new complete wiring harness was built and tied into the key switch and light switches correctly. All electrical works perfectly and reliably. The stator is in perfect shape and easily charges the battery. A new spark plug was installed. The carburetor was cleaned and tuned. The choke and decompression release mechanism work perfectly. The bike starts very easily in 1 kick with the correct starting procedure (using the decompressor to start from Top Dead Center). You will not be disappointed with this bike it's an excellent and reliable rider! I run my bike auction starting from $0.99 with no reserve. I expect the condition of my bikes to drive the bidding to a fair price for both of us. I require a $500 deposit to be paid by PayPal within 24 hours of winning the auction. I will accept payment in full via PayPal or cash in person. Those are the only payment methods acceptable. I require payment in full within 3 days of the auction closing. As long as payment is made I can store the bike for up to 1 week while the buyer arranges pickup or shipping. I am happy to ship the bike worldwide but this is at the buyers expense and arrangement. I will help with the shipping process by meeting the shipping company and helping load the bike. If you have any questions at all please call me anytime I'm happy to help. My cell phone is 619-985-2527. Or of course message me through ebay.
