Description

This auction is for a used 1970-1 Indian MM5A Mini Bambino Dirt Bike in excellent condition. It has the FIRST GENERATION 50cc, Stroke Morini Franco Engine with rear kick, etal fly wheel cover, chromed” exhaust, nd Dellorto Carburetor. The bike runs, ides, nd works - no problems - no issues. This is a rare, ollector quality bike. 98% complete. Serial number is *30286* It’s been a long time since I’ve seen one this nice listed.

This bike was fully restored to original condition approximately 15 years ago and has sat on display in a man cave ever since. Again, he bike has been on display inside with no fuel, ut I periodically lubed the cylinder to keep it free. The bike paint job was deliberately distress during restoration to give it that nostalgic patina look. It’s easily fixed if you don’t like that look. Either way you won’t be disappointed.

I have not recently fuled the bike, ut it does and will run. The engine has strong compression, nd spark is present. Fuel it up with pre-mix 2 cycle oil/gas mixture and it will fire, un, nd ride. The bike shows nice and is a cool conversation piece. The engine is one of the cleanest I’ve seen. The tank is clean inside and out. The seat is great too with faded original logo on it.

There is a small chip on the left side of the gas tank. The bike was distress on the front and rear fender. The frame has some small nicks and scrapes. The distress on the rear fender was done on a damaged part of the fender - see pics. One grip has been repaired on the end. The rear tire, ront number plate, late decal, nd tank lettering are not original. Bike is missing the chain guard and possibly other original items. Seat foam feels a little soft. Overall a great rare bike for the Indian, talian, ini bike, r minicycle collector. These bikes were make in Italy on the Italjet line for Indian in the 1970’s.
