1949 indian scout, REAL barn find, original

This bike is a REALbarn find justcame out of a post and beam barn and its been sitting there fordecadeswith a lot of otherindians and parts as well. My dad swears up and down he saw this bike in a book or magazine a long time ago but idon't have proof. I do NOT know anything about these bikes, his is the first one i have ever owned or even looked at. It rolls perfect,clutch pulls in and out with tension that feelslike its functioning, rake works etc. NO damage to the cases or repairs, o broken fins anywhere on the engine that i can see as far as the engine needing rebuild i can not say for sure. Kicker is VERY grimy and kicks down and up but i think its slipping on the shaft. The transmission lever will function the gears but again, ts beensitting 30 ormore years and everything is covered in old thick grease. if you are buying ASSUME it needs a rebuild, aybe itdoes and maybe it does not, can't say for sure either way paint is really cool and patina is insane moto lamp headlight, riginal speedometer, tc this is a very unmolested bike and this is anopportunity toown a REAL survivor, ot some phony cob job like most bikes on ebay that are labeled BARN FIND this is a INDIAN made in Springfield in 1949! Not a English made model. These bikes pull over 10,000 restored. Someone can buy this bike, estore or get in running order and MAKE A profit.
