Description

For sale is a absolutely beautiful classic 1948 Indian Chief Bobber. This bike features an eighty inch power plant with the modern four speed transmission. Custom intake nipples were machined to accept a Bendix carburetor and shortened manifold. The carburetor is mounted on the right side with the distributor being used as a circuit breaker with a dual fire coil. Bonneville cams and followers complete the motor. All parts used in the engine rebuild were new. Hand made duel exhaust clears the kicker and flows with the bike perfectly. The rear fender is a modified 1930’s chief front fender. Seat has been narrowed slightly and is positioned to the rear of the bike on a custom seat mount. High beam switch is on floorboard and horn button mirrors it on the opposite side. Electrics are supplied by a 12v Cycle Electric generator. This is not a matching number motorcycle. However, he flawless frame and engine cases are both 1948. The two tone black and yellow paint is a real eye catcher and the bike has been nicknamed The Yellow Jacket. There are many top quality new parts this motorcycle. It is currently titled and registered as a collector vehicle in Washington State. This bike was built to be a rider. I have put only one hundred miles on it in the past three years. It is time for someone else to enjoy this beauty. Bike can be delivered to Northern California for a minimal fee.
