2000 Indian Chief in very good condition (please see pictures as they are an integral part of this description). I bought this bike a year ago this past February from the original owner. He rode it very little and I have had little time to ride it myself. It currently has 2. 86 miles. but I listed the mileage as 3. 00 because I am still riding it. The bike is in very good condition with the only cosmetic flaw being some scratches on the front fender (courtesy of the original owner-see pic). Since I purchased it I have replaced the hand grips and levers because the chrome on the originals was peeling and flaking. The bike is in excellent mechanical condition. I recently replaced the battery and rebuilt the master cylinder on the rear brake. It didn't need it. but I changed the oil twice since I purchased it. The 88 cubic inch (1442 cu cm) S&S Supersport motor starts easily every time (as long as you don't forget to turn on the gas - done that once or twice) and runs perfectly. It rides like a charm. Two into one fishtail exhaust is loud. but not obnoxious. It comes with a windshield (not pictured) from Indian with the Indian Logo in the metal strap on the front (four screws and it is on or off quickly and easily). The wide handlebars are very comfortable. The saddle was made for Indian by Corbin and is good for the long haul (I have managed one hundred plus mile day since I got this bike). So why am I selling such a great bike? Two reasons. First is that it sits too low for my taste (24" seat height). Second (and more important) is that I am ready to move on to a bagger and I can't bring myself to drill into and cover up those gorgeous fender drapes. The pictures make the bike look blue and white. but it is actually blue and cream. I get tons of compliments everywhere I go on this bike - 2 different guys stopped me at the gas station last time I rode before I could even hit the road. Looks great. runs great. rides great. Clear title ready for transfer to a new owner. Bike is sold as is where is. Buyer is responsible for pickup - I will not deliver or arrange for delivery.
