Antique old vintage 1923 Indian Chief motorcycle project barn find

Sorry, his is not a barn find as mentioned in the title but now I have your attention.

Up for sale is a 1923 Indian chief that I purchased a few months ago in the condition you see it. I had the intentions of restoring this machine but have found another Indian I would prefer to own and sadly have to sell this one to afford the next.

The engine kicks over and has compression and will probably need going through ideally. This bike has been sitting for years and I do not know when the bike last ran, don't know how many miles are on it and had to put a vlaue in the listing.

The bike rolls easily and the bearings in the neck feel ok.

The gearbox selects all gears but will probably need to be gone through to check everything is ok. I have not removed the transmission tower to check the internals condition.

Please be aware this bike is 90+ years old and will need to be gone through and parts sourced before it can be a perfect running machine. The bike is located in South Australia, ustralia.

The cost of shipping the bike to Los Angeles from Adelaide, outh Australia has been quoted to me by a company called “bikes abroad” for $1200 AUD = $840 USD (roughly). They can ship to many other places but to get an exact quote you will have to contact them. The buyer will have to organise their own shipping, have just supplied a possible shipper.

If you have another shipper in mind, ou are welcome to use them. I will not crate the bike but will be able to drop the bike off in a 20km radius of the Adelaide CBD for a $20 fee.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 to my PayPal account has to be paid no later than 24 hours after the completion of the auction. The remaining funds will have to be by direct bank deposit no later than 7 days after the date of the auction.

This bike will not leave the premises until all funds have cleared and the bike is non-refundable.

The bike is also listed locally and I reserve the right to remove the listing.

There is no title for the bike and a bill of sale will be supplied with it.
