I purchased this bike a few months back from the widow of the gentleman who had restored it. Unfortunately, e passed, o the bike was put in clean dry storage for several years. Per the widow and her father, ho was very familiar with his son in law's restoration of the bike, t was purchased as a complete basket case in 2000. They indicated that the motor was done by Ken/Dennis Young, ut were unable to locate receipts for the work, r any other documentation from the build. So, have nothing to back up that claim, ut the motor looks good and runs strong. Anyway, he restoration took place during 2000-2008 time frame. There were about 100 break in miles put on by the restorer before he passed away. With little effort, was able to get the bike running and have put about 15-20 miles on it just riding around the neighborhood. Runs smooth and everything works (Speedo, orn, ights, tc). The tires have some sidewall cracking, o if it will be ridden extensively, hey should probably be replaced. The paint is at least 10 years old, ut still shows very well. There are a few minor nicks and scratches as you would expect, ut nothing significant. While I cannot be certain, t appears to have original sheet metal. The tank was cleaned and sealed. The paint looks to be a color coat/clear coat. One flaw I want to point out, nd tried to show in photos, s the detail around the right side front fender rivets was lost when the body and paint work were done. Otherwise, verything looks great. The only obvious incorrect component is the late model oil pressure gauge. Originals show up on ebay or at the swap meets, ut they are getting to be a $1000-$1500 item. The one on the bike works well and the motor has strong oil pressure. I am sure the switch is aftermarket, ut I am unsure what other components may be aftermarket as well. It does have a correct and nicely restored Schebler DLX113 carburetor. Speedometer and amp gauge look to be original as well. I have a clear Illinois title in my name. Bike is correctly titled off of the frame number, 38512. I scraped off the paint so I could get a good photo of it to post. Motor is stamped DCH512, lthough it is hard to read and did not photograph well. I will also provide a copy of the previous California title. It was titled to the frame number and also lists the motor number. Illinois titles do not have a provision for listing the motor number, o it is not referenced on the current title. Winning bidder to make $500 deposit by PayPal within 24 hours of auction closing. Balance by bank check, ire transfer or good old cash upon pick up. Bike will not be released until funds have cleared. This can take up to 10 business days, nd even wire transfers take a few days to clear, o keep that in mind. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. I will help in any way I can. International buyers are welcome, ut payment must be in US dollars, nd the bike doesn't leave until I'm confident funds have cleared. E-mail if you have questions. You are welcome to inspect the bike prior to auction ending. Just contact me to set up a time. Thanks.
