1951 Indian

1951 Indian. was completely rebuilt in 1988 at Starklite cycles. Was in a magazine when completed (the mag goes with the bike). I purchased the bike about 4 years ago when the bike had 52 miles on it. The gentleman kept it in his heated garage under a cover. I purchased it put in a new battery (12 volt) changed all fluids cleaned the carb and it has beed on the road since. This bike runs and shifts great it has about 2000 miles on it now. the screw came out of the speedometer cover while going down the road and blocked the needle. it stopped working at 726 miles. It has won many tropys and is absolutly beautiful was on display at the local Indian dealer. It was black and silver when I purchased the bike. since then I had it painstakenly painteed back to all black matching the original color as close as possible. leaving all inforpection (tack wields etc) in the metal. It has an 80 ci motor with 3 speed transmission. It was my intent to keep this in my familyforever but unfortunitly that will not be the case. Since this bike was built by Starklite it does not have matching #.
