These unique Indians were built from 1999-2003 in Gilroy. California. Only a limited number of these bikes were built each year and these early Indians as this one with the S&S Engines are the most sought after and are becoming more and more desirable and fast appreciating. Very seldom ever seen these Indians stand out in the crowd of motorcycles as these bikes truly have that Classic Nostalgic look. These bikes have a very comfortable ride due to the hidden shocks and that softail style suspension. With the big wide "Beach Style" Factory handlebars makes for a perfect cruiser motorcycle. Easy to handle as well with the low 24" Seat Height.

1953 was the last production year for the iconic "Chief" and some forty-five years later the Indian Chief was reborn. Unlike Harley-Davidsons of this era. these Indians came with many chrome extras and some unique features. These Indians featured the entire front end and lower fork tubes chrome plated. chrome inner and outer primary. chrome oil tank. chrome rocker boxes. chrome tear drop style air cleaner. 60 Spoke chrome wire wheels with stainless spokes. chrome handlebars and all handlebar controls chrome as well. polished aluminum belt pulley and brake calipers. all brake controls and clutch controls are polished aluminum. stainless steel oil and brake lines. Distinctive Front and Rear Fenders. nbsp;Powder coated glossy black engine with polished fins. nbsp;glossy black powder coated frame. nbsp;Floorboards. classic gauges. and the list goes on.

 This Indian has also had the rear fender drilled and tapped for the chrome "eyebrows" that would mount the factory accessory saddlebags if you ever desired to have them on it. Most of these bikes do not even have the "eyebrows" installed on them and those items are difficult to find and can be a project to install.

This Indian is still in excellent condition. The chrome still looks very nice with no pitting as you will see on others listed for sale. Just because a bike is listed with low miles for sale does not always mean it is still in excellent condition. This bike is not perfect but in very good condition with the paint still nice as well. The seat is excellent and is the original one. Dunlop whitewall tires have been recently installed and are in great shape. The bike was serviced and needs nothing. I have personally ridden the bike about 50 miles and runs out strong. Shifts smoothly as well. There is no scuff marks on the underside of the frame. Pictured shown with the passenger seat removed. The Indian still has the original exhaust system on it in excellent shape with the baffle removed for better sound. Original baffle was saved and goes with the bike.

Included with this motorcycle is the owners manual. sales brochure. passenger pad seat that bolts onto the solo seat. odometer statement signed by the second owner. original letter written by first original owner as the reason for sale was due to a divorce. and receipts that was spent on routine service on the motorcycle. The Indian is as close to a new one that you will get. Many miles left in it.
