"only original once" great patina, from the Ted Taylor collection ;)

***NOTE: More detailed pictures on my "hobby" website "TaylorMadeClassicCars" on the world wide web. 1947 Indian Chief. matching numbers. unmodified. original running and riding condition. great patina. all the goodies intact.  Minor restoration work involved top end only with new pistons and rings. but NO cylinder boring was done.  New tires (Indian script) and tubes. new wiring harness (original materials). rebuilt generator. sealed tanks. new handle grips.  Work done only to make a safe and reliable ride.  Retains all original goodies such as Motolamp headlight. original tool box. Likert carb. period correct saddle bags. rare 1947 NJ motorcycle license plate. rare front wheel cover.  Everything works. all lights. speedo. horn. Indian head light. etc.  6-volt gel batteries connected in series in both the tool box and Indian battery carcass.  Still retains factory setup right tank shift. left hand throttle. and right hand spark advance.  Accessory rear seat snaps in place without modification to bike.  Accessory custom passenger foot pegs w/o modification to bike.  Buddy seat. optional period correct handlebar lights.   Photos show bike as I obtained it several years ago and its current condition.  Starts up in three kicks.  Black oil finish wiped on. not painted. so it retains its original patina. ***NOTE: More detailed pictures on my "hobby" website "TaylorMadeClassicCars" on the world wide web.
